Celebrating Earth Day.

Grow it.

  • Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection and to mark the birth of the modern environmental movement, which began in 1970.

  • we believe it is our responsibility to give back to nature and our planet. We encourage everyone to celebrate Earth Day by taking part in activities such as planting trees, separating waste and recycling, and supporting businesses that actively take steps to help our environment so we can make our world a happier, healthier place to live — every little action helps.

SKIN&TONIC products were created with our planet in mind. We support local and sustainable ingredients as often as possible and have a small batch production process to maintain quality consistency and produce less waste.

  • For Earth Day this year, we wanted to gift a packet of mystery petal seeds with every order for 1 full month starting today or while supplies last (April 7 - May 5, 2022). Therefore, all of us can plant and celebrate Earth Month in your garden at home.

For more details on where we sustainable sourced the seeds, please see below.

  • The secret to growing plants, especially flowers, is patience. It takes around 2 months before our mystery petal flowers will fully bloom. However, you’ll notice that the sapling of the flower will start to grow only a few days after you plant the seeds in the soil - make sure to water twice a day, morning and evening.

    Happy planting!

Where did we get our seeds from?

Flowers may be beautiful to look at or decorate your home with, but they also serve a very important purpose in the reproduction of plants and help the environment absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.

When searching for where to source our mystery petal seeds from, we wanted to make sure that they were the most sustainable option we could find. At Chaona Mahanakorn, they hand collect seeds from the mother plant and practice ‘seed saving’, in order to regerminate and develop them into flowers or plants again. Seed dispersal is the last and final stage of a flower’s life cycle and there are many ways for the seeds to spread, such as wind, water, and animals. Once the seeds are in the soil, the plant life cycle starts all over again.

As a reward for including flower growing and watering to your daily routine, every customer that grows it to a full bloom* will receive our NO. 2511 natural hand sanitizer with a complementary pouch made with a vegan leather strap.** More information about our ultra-hydrating hand sanitizer for sensitive skin will be revealed in May 2022.

*Please post a picture to your stories and tag @skinandtonicbeaute to show us! If you have a private account, feel free to send us a screenshot to our LINE account @skinandtonic. Happy planting!
**This reward will expire after 3 months from the purchased date.

Who are Chaona Mahankorn?

Located in Bangkok, Thailand, Chaona Mahanakorn is a farming community that practices ‘natural farming’. In the past, there was a belief around East Asia that there is a strong connection between the outside world (the universe) and the inside world (solar).

The world we live in is made up of many ‘outside’ factors such as soil, water, air, fire, plants, animals. What is ‘inside’ us humans, is the soul or the spirit. The Thais therefore have been brought up for generations to maintain the connection with both worlds, respect the natural environment, and understand the rules of Mother Nature. This concept is intrinsic to their lifestyle and their sense of community also helps them pursue a self-reliant lifestyle based on both external and internal diversity. When it comes to agriculture, it is in their nature to help support the community and ecosystem by accepting the different ways of life, being open-minded of the changes in nature, and giving back to the community.
